Ardens EMIS: New COVID Vaccination Resources

As outlined in our last email, recent changes introduced by Enlivio to the vaccination recording process within EMIS Web meant the combined protocol approach used in previous years is no longer practical due to complexity and potential for error.

We have now released separate COVID-19 administration protocols for each available vaccine on the Ardens Portal. By adding these to your F12 key, it will be as easy to use in your joint clinics.

We apologise that these protocols have been released later than we would have liked, but the delay has been due to the MKB238 update which has only just been released and therefore has been outside of our control.

COVID-19 Protocols - Now Available

We're pleased to confirm that four COVID-19 administration protocols, one for each available vaccine, are now available on the Ardens Portal for download. These have been designed to support practices with smoother delivery of their vaccination clinics.

What You Need to Do

Please follow the below steps for the vaccine protocols your practice will be using:

  1. Download and import the protocols from the Ardens Portal.

  2. Edit the protocols to add the appropriate batch number and expiry date.

  3. Add protocols to your F12 key for quick access during clinics.

To support you through this process, we are running 30-minute webinar sessions at the following times:

These sessions will provide a walkthrough of the protocol setup and an opportunity to ask any questions.

Adult & Child Vaccination Templates - Pending Enlivio/EMIS Web Update

The recently released EMIS Web version (MKB238) prevented the Adult and Childhood Vaccination templates from saving due to the COVID vaccine administration code being flagged as mandatory. We've temporarily removed that code to allow it to continue to work and practices will need to use the COVID protocol below for now. As soon as Enlivio confirm the issue around the COVID administration code has been fixed, we will re-add this to the templates and re-deploy via Resource Publisher.
