Prescribing protocols will be updated to remove discontinued needle products and replace them with the new embecta brand options where available. Novofine 8mm and autocover 8mm needles will be removed without replacements (SystmOne only)

Searches and reports will be created to identify patients still prescribed the discontinued items, so alternatives can be issued. (SystmOne, EMIS and Ardens Manager)
