This article explains how to join the Ardens Open Access Group within SystmOne. By the end of this article, you will understand how the Open Access Group works, how to join it, and how it supports access to Ardens resources and updates.
Background
The Ardens Open Access Group allows organisations that are not Ardens customers to access shared Ardens resources within SystmOne.
Joining the Ardens Open Access Group helps ensure organisations receive the latest Ardens resources and enables users to access shared content without requiring manual installation or maintenance.
How Ardens Can Help
The Ardens Open Access Group includes the following templates:
FeNO Test
Suspected Human Rights Abuses
👥 Join the Group
Accept the Group Invitation
Go to Setup > Users & Policy > Organisation Groups
Untick Only show groups this organisation has joined
Open the Wiltshire folder
Select Ardens Open Access group
Right-click and select Join group
Restart SystmOne
After joining the group:
Close SystmOne completely
Reopen SystmOne
Ask any other users currently logged in to restart their session
This ensures the latest shared resources are loaded correctly.
📝Access Ardens Templates
After joining the Open Access Group, Ardens resources will become available throughout SystmOne.
To access the templates:
Open a patient record
Select Auto-consultations
Select the relevant Ardens template

Why can't I see Auto-Consultation?
You may be using the older consultation style. Enable the New Consultation Process within User Preferences.
Are updates installed automatically?
Most shared Ardens resources are maintained centrally and become available automatically once released.
